    Description

USS MIDWAY CVB-41 In Memoriam Ensign William Anton Conrad, Jr VB-74 Lost at Sea 1946
    US Navy Aircraft Pilot Aviator
Ensign William Anton Conrad, Jr. USNR VB-74
Lost at Sea March 2nd, 1946
This is an exceptionally rare ship's crew documentation of probably the first USS Midway casualty. The printed ephemera was removed from scrapbook and has paper glued to the back of the card.
    Important Notes for Buyers:
In Memoriam ephemera is from the estate of a USS Midway former sailor and plankowner (a member of the first crew to man a US Navy ship.) Note - the manila envelope with the sailors name is not included and is only shown as proof of provenance. Also not included are the 2 Midway religious services pamphlets as they are only representing provenance as well.
Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
