Turkish Turkey//Israel Israeli? Model 1935 Mauser Bayonet & Scabbard. Appears to be standard 1935 model but has Arabic writing on blade& Turkey uses the western alphabet. Also has a star of David & a crescent stamped on top of blade spine. Scabbard has no finish left and has several dents, bayonet fits in tight but there is no internal spring. We think it couldve been quickly refitted and put into service somewhere. The blade was sharpened and has no finish left, needs cleaned but not pitted. Has been used a lot; the wood grips are intact but no cracks. Push button works. Has couple unidentifiable marks on pommel, looks as if marred on purpose. The cross guard is altered near the muzzle ring to make it set back on barrel. Item is at least 86 years old and has been through untold conflicts. Has unusual double marks. Study all photos carefully. . postage.
