Description
We built 2 of these hoods in 2019 for our own lab and they were never used.We are restructuring our business model and no longer have any use for them and need the space they are taking up.
Please see the video we made of these PCR work stations on youtube:

The hoods are fabricated from 16guage 304 stainless, all stainless hardware and tempered glass. They have 2 UV lights on a timer for cleaning and disinfecting and 3 light switch settings for varying amounts of light.
Lighting is standard screw in type light bulb using 15 watt 6500k LEDs. These are common bulbs available everywhere in many light temperatures, colors etc, so changing the light levels is easy and inexpensive.
A removable shelf in the rear of the work area provides an elevated space for supplies while keeping everything on the work surface within an arms reach.
The working height is adjustable from a low seated position to full standing even for someone 7 foot tall. The motorized bases are heavy duty with 2 electric motors capable of lifting 400lbs, so even loaded with equipment, they can still be adjusted to a comfortable work height.
There is a standard 4 inch vent on the left side that can be attached to any exhaust vent with an inline fan. That makes this hod useful for microbiology both dead air work or when using caustic or odorous chemicals or bio matter.
These hoods were built specifically based on our lab techs feedback after years of working at them 8 hours a day. The adjustable work height was critical for creating a productive environment for different size people.
We wanted to build an alternative to the plastic garbage PCR hoods available on the market that age poorly, get cloudy and yellow from the UV lights. While it was more expensive, it is a one time purchase and will last a lifetime.
We spent around ,000 building each hood (at 2019 prices). But we are selling them for 00 each, unused other than storing some equipment in them and attaching them to the wall for stability.
We also have a listing for 1 older hood that was used, the design is slightly different and we are selling that hood for just 00.
As for shipping, hopefully someone can pick them up at our facility in Tampa Florida.
We will ship them anywhere in the continental US for 0 extra. That will include palatalizing them, crating them in plywood to protect them and loading them on a freight carrier. They are going to be heavy, 2-3 people can lift one, but definitely not with plywood crate and on a pallet.
If you would like to see the hoods before purchasing, you are welcome to come see them in our facility.
You literally cannot buy hoods like these, you have to make them. If you want to duplicate them, we will provide the technical specs and drawings along with the sheet metal fabricator that made the panels.
