The People's Militia (abbreviation ĽM, Czech People's Militia, LM), also called the "armed fist of the working class", were workers' combat units created by the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ). They were established in Slovakia on February 21, 1948 during the preparation of the communist coup in Czechoslovakia.
