March 1953 from the 4th Bn/5th REI (Foreign Legion Regiment), in North Vietnam in the Along Bay area (hence the junk). In August/September 1954 relocated to Central Vietnam as part of the Groupement Nung.
Scarcer variation with a very dark green base.
