    Description

Bulgarian M47 other ranks cap (furazhka) and trousers for infantry/artillery/technical units. 1947 regulations were updated version of wartime 1942 regulations with several small changes and only issued for short time until 1951, so are rare to find.
M47 furazhka is postwar version of wartime, but with lacquered cardboard visor instead of leather, no chinstrap and lighter almost khaki wool. Often confused with WW2. Interestingly marks were made for chinstrap buttons, but never applied and often not appear in period photos. High quality early enamel star. Dated 12 June 1948, size 56. Not often find these with maker stamps.
Trousers are nicer wool and quality, possibly better made variant or maybe for NCOs (or even officer field trousers? but seem less likely). Updated version of 1942 model, but still similar materials and cut. Main changes were simple ankle tie replaced with stirrup and adjusting strap on rear was moved to the sides. Only issued until 1951, when replaced with Soviet style uniforms.
Size approx. US 32x31. Waist 38cm (flat), inseam 80cm, length 105cm. Good condition, but a couple moth holes from Bulgarian depots (has been sterilised, so no worries!). Size and depot stamps in waistband. Buttons marked "For Gentlemen", which are surplus from royal era.
